Insparya’s Scientific Advances in Hair Regeneration
The Research and Technology Center – Insparya Hair Science – is conducting several innovative studies to enhance hair treatments and expand therapeutic possibilities. Among the key studies are:
- Molecular Signature Study: Analysis of human hair follicle cells to understand the effects of androgenetic alopecia and pharmacological treatments. Through a multi-genomic approach, the team studies altered signaling pathways and how they can be restored with different therapies.
- High-Throughput Cellular Assays: Development of tests to identify new compounds capable of maintaining and restoring the hair growth-inducing properties of hair follicle stem cells.
- Preclinical Validation: Assessment of new compounds’ efficacy in improving the hair follicle growth cycle using human follicle organ cultures and animal models.
- In Vitro Follicular Cell Expansion: Integration of scientific knowledge to enhance the proliferation of hair follicle cells in the laboratory, preserving their inductive potential to form small follicular germs with possible clinical application.

By conducting cellular-level studies and working with scalp stem cells, Grupo Insparya is at the forefront of knowledge in this field. Thanks to the close connection between research and clinical practice, and under the leadership of Dr. Carlos Portinha, Chief Clinical Officer of the group, and Elsa Logarinho, Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Porto, new solutions for our patients are developed daily. All of this is done with the certainty of offering the most advanced hair health solutions, as demonstrated by the new treatments set to launch in 2025, both in clinics and for at-home use.
